STRANGER THINGS

Hello everyone, today my team and i are going to give a review of the series "Stranger Things", specifically episode 4, season 4, titled "Dear Billy".

Introduction

​Stranger Things is a very popular sci-fi and horror series. The story takes place in the 1980s in a small, quiet town. The town is Hawkins. The mystery is starting now because a young boy, Will, is disappearing. Three groups are trying to solve the mystery: loyal children, curious teenagers, and worried adults. This series is about friendship, secret government experiments, and supernatural monsters. Near the town, a hidden laboratory is opening a portal to a dark, dangerous parallel reality. The name of this place is the "Upside Down."

​The series has excellent characters. Eleven is the main hero. She is a mysterious girl with short hair and special mind powers. Right now, she is escaping from the laboratory. She is quiet, shy, and very brave. Her friend Mike is the intelligent leader of the kids. He is a tall, thin boy with dark hair. Together with Dustin and Lucas, they are protecting Eleven and they are fighting the Demogorgon. The Demogorgon is a scary, tall creature with no face and sharp teeth.​Also, Will's mother, Joyce, is a brave woman and she is looking for her son. Jim Hopper is the strong chief of police. Older teenagers like Nancy, Jonathan, and Steve are also helping in this dangerous adventure. Together, they are discovering that Hawkins hides dark secrets and terrible monsters.

Review

The scene starts in a cemetery. The weather is bad and grey. Max is looking at the grave of her brother, Billy. She is crying because she is feeling very sad and lonely. But the place changes. The sky is becoming very dark, and Max is entering a trance. Now, she is in the Upside Down, and she is feeling very, very scared.

​Max is running away from Vecna in the Upside Down. The weather is terrible in this place. Dark clouds are moving fast in the red sky. Max is holding her walkman with her two hands. She is crying a lot. Her clothes are dirty because the rain is black and dirty.

​Vecna is walking very slowly behind her. His arms are very long and thin. He is wearing no shirt. His skin is grey, and very ugly, Max can hear a big clock. The clock is making a loud sound. The clock is saying that Max is dying soon.

​But now, Max's mind is changing. She is feeling brave and strong. She wants to live! She is running to the light. Her friends are in that light. In the real world, Lucas and Dustin are looking at her body. They are feeling very bad. They are crying and shouting her name: "Max! Max!". Erica is there too. She is shouting: "Max, run fast!".

​The music is playing from the walkman. It is the song "Running Up That Hill". Max is not stopping. She can see a red door. That door is the exit. Vecna try to catch her, but Max is very close to the door. She is a very good runner, and she is escaping.

The spark that starts it all

Usually, the danger is physical. The characters normally fight the Demogorgon with physical strength, they hide, or Eleven uses her powers to win. But now, Vecna is attacking the mind and the body. Eleven is not saving them this time.

They use the músic for save max to the trance whit vecna. When she is reading vecna want control to max, and she is go into a trance; and her friend helps her whit put  headphones and play her favorite music. This power of the músic is only funcional whit vecna, why vecna atak on your minds  whit his telepaty. This is the second difference. They never use music against other monsters. It only works against Vecna.
